Step 1: Set up PagerDuty integration in Workbench
- From the main navigation bar, click Settings.
- On the Settings page, click My Organization.
- On the My Organization page, click Integrations.
- Scroll down to PagerDuty and click Open PagerDuty to begin integration.
- A new tab opens in your browser. Login with your PagerDuty credentials.
- Select which service you want to add the integration to or create a new integration, then click Connect. Note: You can only select 1 service.
- You're redirected to Workbench. If the integration is successful, you see this message:
The PagerDuty connection information also appears.
Step 2: Test your connection in Workbench
- Now that PagerDuty integration is complete, test the connection by clicking the Test connection link.
- The test creates and closes an incident in PagerDuty. Last tested shows the test date and a status message.
- In PagerDuty, navigate to your Incidents page. In the Activity for the Past 7 Days section, you see the test connection. It has a unique ID appended to the title. You see 2 rows for the test event, 1 for the triggered event and 1 for the resolved activity. That’s it!
Disconnect the PagerDuty integration from Workbench
You can need to disconnect the PagerDuty integration from Workbench.
- Go to Settings > My Organization > Integrations.
- Scroll down to PagerDuty. Click the Edit icon.
- Click Disconnect and delete. You no longer receive alert notifications from Expel through PagerDuty.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Workbench send alerts to more than one PagerDuty service?
Not currently. As of now, alerts can only be configured to a single PagerDuty service.
Will PagerDuty incidents resolve after the Security Incident is complete in Workbench?
No. At this time, the PagerDuty incident must be resolved from PagerDuty.
