Integrating with Microsoft Teams allows for notifications from Expel as well as 2-way communication.

To see the differences in the notifications channels, see Notification systems.

Before you begin
  • Make a list of users you want to have added to the shared channel with Expel.

  • Send a list of users' email addresses to Expel.

  • Expel will create a Team and invite your users to the team.

Connect with the Expel team

When you receive notification that the Expel-customer team is ready, do this:

  1. Toggle to the Expel organization in your Microsoft Teams instance.

    • In Microsoft Teams, navigate to your organization (top right corner of the screen) and click it. A dropdown appears.

    • Select Expel from the dropdown to switch to the Expel organization. Microsoft has instructions here.

  2. Accept the permissions requested by Expel.

    Note

Click Next through the next 3 Microsoft Teams prompts, then click Let's Go.

  3. Select the General channel in the Expel-customer team to begin.

  4. Configure your Microsoft Teams notifications in Workbench. See the Organization Notifications setup guide and Organization Notifications checklist for instructions.

    Note

To toggle back to your Microsoft Teams organization, click the Expel organization and select your organization from the dropdown.
